HELP IB FILM COMPETE IN PARIS!

Woodrow Wilson Film program has been asked to participate in an event in Paris called Clash of the Titans. Some of the most renowned international schools with some of the strongest film programs in the world will meet in Paris in January where students will have the challenge to create a short film in 48 hours. Please help support these students with a donation or join or sponsor the first annual Cornhole Tournament.

Grab your friends and join the first annual Cornhole Tournament on Saturday, November 13 to support the program. You can also donate or sponsor the tournament.

Be sure to bring your own personal equipment - water bottle, shin guards and cleats - as well as a mask. Meet dressed out by the gate to the turf field/track. A physical and Rank One form are required before tryouts. Parents must fill out the Rank One form. Email speel@dallasisd.org with any questions.

CALLBACKS FOR PIPPIN

The musical directors will be posting the callbacks for Pippin on Monday, November 8 toward the end of the day. The callbacks will take place on Saturday, November 13, but there could be additional callbacks at other times if needed.

We are still working out how to provide accompaniment for the callbacks. We may continue with recorded tracks, but we may choose to have a live accompanist. Many students will have SEVERAL new songs to prepare for the callback. They will be responsible for learning these songs on their own!!! We are going to try and get recordings of each song posted on the Google Classroom (entry code fmzvvyv).

PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

There are only 10 more instructional days to close our November. Once we hit December, we will have STAAR re-testing the week of December 7 and then focused review for ACPs. Administratively we’ll be working on how we can support targeted after hours support for social, emotional, and academic growth while teachers accelerate development through high-quality first pass instruction focused on critical course standards.
