Homecoming festivities start next week with student hall decorating. Wednesday is the Homecoming Festival on our campus, Thursday is the game and Friday is the dance. Your Woodrow PTA has been working hard to make it a full and exciting week of fun and Woodrow pride for our families and community.

THE PTA IS LOOKING FOR FAMILY SPONSORS to help bridge the critical gaps in the DISD school budget as well as fund the Senior Class Activities Fund for each class. Visit the PTA website for more information on how you can support Woodrow.
Homecoming t-shirts will be sold outside the cafeteria by the track field side during all lunches until October 6. Shirts are $12 dollars and exact cash is preferred.

Homecoming Festival - October 6
The Woodrow PTA will be hosting a festival on our new practice field on Wednesday, October 6 from 5-7 p.m. to gear up for the big game on Thursday! Enjoy food, fun activities and performances by the Woodrow Wilson Sweethearts and Cheerleaders as we all root for our Varsity Wildcat Football Team! Stay tuned for details.
If you ordered a commemorative brick from Woodrow PTA March 2020-June 2021, your brick has been installed in the Woodrow Walk of Fame on the west side of the building. Thank you for your patience!

THIS WEEK IS COLLEGE "GO GET IT" WEEK. Students are invited to participate in spirit days to promote college readiness.

Free Home Internet Application Deadline: Students who are without home internet have the opportunity to apply for a high-speed free home internet connection for the 2021-2022 school year. The application deadline has been extended to September 30. Visit the DISD website for more information on free home Internet.
Peace Pantry: The Woodrow Community Peace Pantry helps supplement meals and provides healthy snacks, uniforms, and toiletries to students. No paperwork is necessary. Email our Community Liaison Elizabeth Jurado to schedule a pickup time.
HOCO Dresses & Suits: Does your student need something to wear for the Homecoming Dance? Please have him/her stop by the main office before or after school any day starting next week. We have received gently used dresses and suits from our community.
These next two weeks are very important as we close out the first grading period. This week is College “Go Get It” Week with spirit themes each day as we promote a college-going culture.
