Happy New School Year! My name is Chris Prestridge and I am back to serve as President of our award winning Woodrow PTA again this year. I’m the proud parent of a Senior girl and Freshman boy. I am looking forward to another great year! I know we are still navigating Covid but the hopes are PTA can work together with school admin to make it as normal a year as possible for all our students and especially our seniors. We are planning some awesome events this Fall around Homecoming (HOCO) that will engage our students and community and celebrate our Woodrow traditions.
We are kicking off our HOCO PTA Fundraising campaign next week. This year our theme is “We Are Woodrow!” We will be announcing some amazing swag packages for our family sponsorships and ways that our local business can also contribute. Look for more info next week.
As we start the new year we also ask that you please join your Woodrow PTA. We had a record number of members last year and we hope you will support us again this year with your membership. It’s quick, cheap and easy to do on our website www.woodrowwildcats.org. Your Woodrow PTA won multiple awards last year and to start off this year, Woodrow PTA was one of only seven awards for advocacy in the state of Texas. We depend on your support and our members to continue this excellence for our students and their families.
