MESSAGE FROM THE PTA PRESIDENT

Hello Woodrow Parents,

I can’t believe we are in the home stretch, the last 9 weeks will go by quickly, PTA plans to make it a special time for our teachers and students. We will delay our general meeting until Monday April 19 at 7 p.m. so we can bring you another great speaker. Please join us next week when we host a speaker from Sparrow House who will give guidance on helping our kids and ourselves recover from the stress of COVID-19 and improve our general well being. Don’t miss it!

It has been a challenging year for many reasons but I believe we have made a positive impact on our students, staff and campus this year. Due to COVID, the Texas PTA has allowed us to maintain our current board for an additional year. We will be voting on the slate for the 2021-22 Woodrow Executive Board at our April 19 meeting.

We will be wrapping up the year with our end of the year celebration and awards Monday, May 10 on the patio of the Filter Building on the shore of White Rock Lake. PTA board members, Woodrow teachers and staff, PTA members, and parents interested in joining are all welcome. Join us for a great night of celebrating all things Woodrow!

PTA will be working hard to finish strong!

All the best,

Chris Prestridge

WELCOME BACK SENIORS

As students complete their last nine weeks of high school, we want to offer them the best experience possible. Key points:

  • Students should arrive by 9 a.m. unless they have late arrival.
  • Seniors will continue to enter through the new gym. Late arrival students enter through the guest entrance at the front.
  • They will report to the cafeteria where we will welcome them and review expectations before dismissing to 1st period.
  • Dress code will be relaxed but appropriate.
  • They should bring a charged laptop and any other items in a clear backpack for contactless entry.
  • We are trying to make sure most seniors will be able to have B lunch together.
  • You do not have to submit the Learning Preference Change Form to attend on Monday.
  • We will have Tik Tok challenges throughout the day.
