PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

DID YOU KNOW OUR WOODROW WILDCAT LOGO IS TRADEMARKED?

Woodrow also has its own colors - Red PMS 200 and Gray PMS 428. Our trademarked Wildcat is unique to our school. The logo was designed by Stephen Cargile (Class of 1982) who has worked as a graphic artist for the Walt Disney Company in California for over thirty years. Steve’s knowledge and appreciation of Woodrow Wilson was instilled by his father, Bob Cargile, who taught on the Woodrow faculty. The logo was designed to honor him. The success of these new standards relies upon the understanding, cooperation and support of the entire Woodrow community. Specific directions on how, when and where to utilize our Woodrow Wildcat logos are in our brand guide.

PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Dear Wildcat Families:

We are looking forward to a great week. Please visit the Woodrow PTA website for important information about upcoming events and deadlines.

WOODROW FUN FACT

Woodrow was designed by Dallas architect Mark Lemmon. The school opened in 1928, and was constructed in the Elizabethan style. The September 1928, Dallas Herald said the school "presents a rare spectacle from afar." The school is a Dallas Landmark and a registered Texas Historic Landmark. Woodrow has been colloquially called "Woodrow" by students and community members from its beginning, fostered by first principal G.L. "Pop" Ashburn, who led the school until 1956. Woodrow's PTA was formed for the school even before its 1928 opening.
