Woodrow Wilson High School Wildcat News
September 28, 2020
MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL MORAN

Wildcat Families:

We are so excited to welcome our freshman this week and the remainder of our in-person learners starting October 5. Students with the last names A-L will attend on Monday and Tuesday. Those with the last names M-Z will attend on Thursdays and Fridays. Those expected to attend on a Wednesday will be notified a week in advance.

We’ve heard your feedback and are working on creating a more interactive synchronous experience these next two weeks while we bring students back to school. Each teacher’s primary focus will be on reinforcing safety routines, so please be patient as we learn to navigate teaching students in-person and at home simultaneously. This is new for all of us. We’ll share more information with you all about instructional expectations on Wednesday.

Thank you all for partnering with us to make Woodrow the exemplary school for teaching and learning.

APPROVED BACKPACKS

If your student is returning to campus, please note the update regarding backpacks.

Students will be required to bring a mesh or clear backpack. If one cannot be obtained, students must notify their corresponding grade-level counselors (and/or PPE teacher) and a bag will be acquired for them. Students' items will be placed in a clear bag and the original backpack will be held in the main office with the student's name and ID number. (It is permissible for ladies to bring a private, small makeup bag or small flat pencil bag for required toiletries.) Students are encouraged to only bring necessary items, and leave trinkets or other unnecessary items at home.
